Volunteer With Us

Volunteering at the Central Florida Railroad Museum is a meaningful way to support a local nonprofit dedicated to preserving Central Florida’s rich railroad heritage. You don’t need railroad experience to get involved — you simply need to enjoy meeting people and sharing history. For those interested in becoming museum docents, we provide all the training needed to help you feel confident welcoming visitors, offering introductions, and guiding guests through the museum’s exhibits.

We also have opportunities behind the scenes for volunteers who prefer working with materials and collections. Our library and archives team helps organize documents, photographs, and historical records, while our collections volunteers assist with cataloging and preservation of artifacts. If you have specialized skills in display design, social media, or event support, your expertise can make a direct impact on how the museum presents its history to the community.

Whether you can volunteer once a month or once a week, your time is valuable and appreciated. Every role contributes to keeping the museum vibrant, accessible, and educational for visitors of all ages. If you’re ready to get involved, simply complete the volunteer interest form on this page and we’ll follow up with next steps.
