    Enjoy a special evening at the museum with our custom Lego train layout, treats for all our guests, a photo booth, Lego blocks fun table, a coloring table, a brand new Artifact Hunt map, music and decorations throughout the museum. This is a ticketed event that benefits the museum operations.

It's About Time! How the Railroads Created Our Time Zones

Our current exhibit, It's About Time! How the Railroads Created Our Time Zones is open through February 1st.

The United States once had more than 140 time zones, usually set by the position of the sun. To operate safely over long distances, the railroads proposed a standardized timekeeping for the country. Learn how we came to live and work by the system the railroads created. 

The exhibit is open during museum hours of 11:00am to 3:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. We are closed on major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
