About the event

One of two railroads serving Winter Garden during the city’s earliest days, the Tavares & Gulf Railroad seemed plagued by an almost daily onslaught of challenges, the least of which was simply keeping the train on the track. But despite its troubles, the railroad played a major role in the development of Winter Garden and West Orange County.

Join us on Saturday, March 19th at 1:00pm in the Meeting Room of the Central Florida Railroad Museum for this free, one-hour presentation by author and historian Rick Cronin. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

Registration is free and recommended to guarantee seating at the presentation. A confirmation email will be sent at completion, and a reminder email will be sent three days prior to the event.
