Central Florida has a rich history of railroading. Railroads were a key component of opening up the area in the later 1800s, both for passengers and freight. This program will look at a number of snippets and tidbits of railroad history in Central Florida from the 1880s to the 1970s.

About the event
Central Florida has a rich history of railroading. Railroads were a key component of opening up the area in the later 1800s, both for passengers and freight. This program will look at a number of snippets and tidbits of railroad history in Central Florida from the 1880s to the 1970s. The presentation will be made by Phil Cross, Historian and longtime member of the Central Florida Railway Historical Society. A short business meeting will preceed the presentation. Visitors are welcome to attend. Free admission.
